Pakistan’s fiery pacer Haris Rauf has been named the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for November, dethroning India’s Jasprit Bumrah and South Africa’s Marco Jansen to claim the prestigious award. Rauf’s stellar performances across formats, highlighted by his match-winning spells in Pakistan’s historic series win in Australia, earned him the accolade.
The 31-year-old speedster was in sensational form throughout November, taking 18 wickets in nine matches. His contributions were pivotal in Pakistan’s first ODI series victory in Australia in 22 years, as well as their subsequent success in Zimbabwe. Consistency and ability to deliver in high-pressure situations made Haris Rauf a standout performer on the international stage.
Rauf’s crowning achievement during the month was his role in Pakistan’s historic 2-1 ODI series win against Australia. The series marked Pakistan’s first ODI series triumph on Australian soil since 2002, and Rauf was at the heart of the team’s success. Rauf’s form carried over into the T20I series against Australia, where he once again proved his worth.
Following the Australia tour, Rauf traveled with the Pakistan team to Zimbabwe for a three-match ODI series. Despite the challenging conditions, he added three more wickets to his tally, playing a key role in Pakistan’s 2-1 series win.
Currently, Haris Rauf is part of Pakistan’s squad for the T20I series against South Africa. However, he had a rare off day in the series opener, going wicketless and conceding 44 runs in his four-over spell. Pakistan will be hoping for a strong comeback from their star pacer in the second T20I, scheduled to take place in Centurion this Friday.
